The jersey shore dvd went on sale today (check it out by clicking on Snooki to the right) and I was easily the first in my virtual line to order it. Im pretty pumped to check out all of the deleted scenes and bonus footage that is said to be included on the dvd set. Im not sure when it is going to arrive but I hope its by the end of the week, that way I can check it out over the weekend. At the cost of $20 shipped its a deal that you really cant beat, especially if you were a big fan of the show. Jersey Shore 2nd Season

Their has been a lot of talk recently about theJersey Shore cast coming back for a second season of wild and craziness. Pauly D was quoted as saying the cast will be coming back for a second season in a location that is much warmer. I wonder where this could be? My guess is the jersey shore guidos and guidettes will be partying it up in the Hamptons next time we see them on the air, assuming that they are going to stay in the tri state area, but who knows maybe they will hit Florida next? Its really up for debate but no matter where they decide to go im positive that it will be another crazy season filled with ups and downs, but in the end the ups will outweigh the downs. The greatest part about the show in my opinion was the fact that the cast was so real. Granted they all had fake tans, a few hair extensions etc. but in the end they spoke their mind and appeared to be some pretty down to earth people. I dont know about you but im pretty excited for the second season, and I hope its just as wild and crazy as the first (although we could use less Sam and Ronnie drama).

Jersey Shore Guidos

What is a jersey shore guido? I know that many people have watched the Jersey shore on MTV and have very misconstrued ideas on what exactly a guido is. You see in the old days when the Italians were coming to America the terms daigo, wop, guinea, and guido were derogatory and if you used them you could expect a fight if nothing else. Somewhere along the line however the term guido has become a term used very loosely by just about everyone in every setting when discussing these folks running around the television on Thursday nights. The modern term of guido (or jersey shore guido) is one who gets a fake tan, has enough hair gel to grease a car, juiced up, party animal with little regard towards womens feelings and what not. Im not sure what to think of this modern term being that I am 100% Italian and the only people that call me a guido are my other Italian friends as a term that pokes fun at the ski suit or hair gel that I have. The reason the Italian society has brought up concerns for shows like the jersey shore and the sopranos is because people think it sheds Italians in a bad light. People assume that the characters on these shows are Italian but jwow and snookie for instance are not even Italian! Im not sure what to think about jersey shore guidos, or guidos in general for that matter, but when its all said and done I think the show is very entertaining and I will definitely be ordering the jersey shore dvd when it comes out for sale on February 23rd. The Jersey Shore, seemed like it was going to be your regular old reality TV show, where the audience would get hyped up for the first episode and most would never watch again. I know for me personally the idea of watching a bunch of guidos and guidettes parade around would not be something worth watching. But somewhere along the line America fell in love the Snooki, The Situation, and the rest of the Jersey Shore characters that graced our MTV station every Thursday night for the past few months. Luckily for those that were thoroughly captivated within the series, their will be a second season with the same cast at some point next year, but until then you can buy the jersey shore dvd for season one and re-watch all of the drama, the laughs, and the creepin that we all grew to love so much. For those of you that are unaware, the Jersey Shore show chronicles the lives of eight Italian Americans living in New Jersey for the summer. The Jersey Shore Show

When the jersey shore show was first announced I think most people would tell you that no one knew what to expect. Everyone had previously seen the my new hair cut video on YouTube, and the thought of having these guidos invade the television sounded like an awful idea. Somewhere along the way, however, America fell in love with Snooki, Jwow, Sammy, Ronnie, Vinny, DJ Pauly D, and Mike “The Situtation”. The show was able to captivate audiences through its off the wall humor, and absolutely crazy antics brought forth by such a diverse cast. After a successful first season full of girls, fights, and relationships, the crew announced that it will be back for a second season of the Jersey Shore, and it will come from a place that is much warmer! I think the Jersey Shore has had a very odd effect on people. Most everyone that you talk to will tell you that it is the dumbest show on the television today, but on that same token those same people are there watching it every Thursday night on MTV.
